Hi, my name is Phil Blake. I have 15 years experience welding and fabricating steel across the residential, commercial and industrial markets.
I have aspired to build my welding company based on a solid reputation of customer satisfaction, professionalism and quality workmanship.
My business aim is to be ‘The go to steel company’. This is what we strive towards with all that we do for our customers.

How it all started
I’ve always had a skill for working with my hands, so when I finished high school in 2005 I started my apprenticeship and 4 years later after finishing my apprenticeship, I completed a diploma in applied engineering.
The company I trained with completed a wide range of works from sheet metal to heavy structural steel. I then spent 6 years working for a large company involved in plant maintenance, welding repairs on crane booms and structures and even spent several months in the Pacific Islands on several projects.
After seeing out the Waterview tunnel project with my previous employer, I decided to venture out on my own. Starting out in my garage at home with minimal equipment I began supplying local builders with structural steel work. From there I have taken on many challenging projects including architectural features for award winning homes. We now have a East Tamaki based workshop packed full of gear to get the jobs done.
The company is growing and we have big plans for the future - we are planning to expand further so that more clients can benefit from our top class workmanship and great customer service.
